Dr. Thakar is a pleasure to have as my orthopedic surgeon. He has great bedside manner, but even more, he seems highly confident and it’s clear that he knows exactly what he is talking about. I was impressed with his candid approach, and I found him likable as a person. I have only just had my surgery 3 days ago, but I am confident that I will be pleased with the results. Dr. Thakar has been on my side regarding insurance and expediting treatment so that I could have the best results possible. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Thakar. In my book he gets an A+ for medicine and healthcare.

Dr KARKARE in Stonybrook is a quality orthopedic. He also does surgery. I went in with right hip pain. He sent me for X-rays and an MRI. Then suggested physical therapy among the after steps I should take. I’m happy I chose him. He knows what he is doing. He patient kind bedside manner. Thorough and to the point!

After a car accident, I was diagnosed with a torn meniscus and told I’d need surgery. Suffolk PT and Chiropractor referred me to Dr. Vedant Vaksha at Advanced Orthopedic, and I’m so grateful they did.

This was my first surgery ever, and I was understandably nervous. But from our first meeting, Dr. Vaksha made me feel completely at ease. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and I could tell right away that he genuinely cares about his patients—not just as cases, but as people.

The surgery went smoothly, and my recovery has been going better than I expected. He also made sure I was set up with the best tools and resources to help with my healing, which made a huge difference.

I’m now walking without pain and getting stronger every day. I truly can’t thank Dr. Vaksha and his team enough. If you need knee surgery, I highly recommend him. He’s not only incredibly skilled but also kind, supportive, and really thorough in his care.

Amazing doctors who are all very kind, trained professionals and if I were you, I would definitely come to complete orthopedics at Stony Brook. In my case, I broke my arm a few months back and Dr. Vaksha took care of me really well by quickly performing a surgery on my arm to fix the bone. I am really happy with the progress of healing the bone. The staff in the stony brook office are also really kind and gentle.

My mom broke her femur from a fall and that is how we met Dr Vashka at the hospital. The surgery and healing went beautifully and 6 weeks after the fall she's walking again and has a very small scar. On 2/4/2025 I had surgery to repair torn rotator cuff of left shoulder. Dr Vedant Vaksha did a really great job of putting me back together. After auti accident in August 2024 I felt broken. Went for PT and followed their direction of exercises but still felt broken. After reading I learned surgery was a must. Thank you Dr Vaksha & staff for making sure I was put back together.
